First of all, sorry for English (my writing in French is weak) and congratulations for a great site!

I liked the idea of Fruit of the month and Veg of the month!
Would be nice to give also more than a one recipe with it.
As, for example, rhubarbe sauce marry perfectly with roasted duck.

But I also believe that it would be good to mention for this not so popular vegetable (yes, it is a vegetable!) that ONLY stem of the culinary rhubarb should be consumed, since leaves are poisonous. Unfortunately, on the market I buy it always with leaves.

P.S.: As for origin of rhubarbe, it arrived to Russia from China, with caravans of the Great Silk Road.
And… Volga region is not a South Siberia. :-)

Dear Stella,

Thanks for yout input. Actually, some people consider rhubarb as fruit and not vegetable. But you are right about the leaves consumption, only the stem is edible.
Regarding the recipes, never hesitate to post your ideas/suggestions on the forum, it is always interesting to share these things.

Anyways, thanks for your feedback.

Dear Stella,

Moreover I would suggest to you this two websites (only in french unfortunately) :

http://www.aprifel.com/nutrifel,article.php

The Nutrifel is a scientific database for fruits, vegetables and health.

Thank you for contribution.
